About Us
The Swedish School of Sacramento is a non-profit organization founded by parents, designed for children who speak Swedish or have Swedish-speaking parents. We welcome ages of 6-17 to improve their fluency, strengthen their identity, and have fun as they work on mastery. The school meets every Monday from 4.30 PM to 6.30 PM at Arden Middle School in Sacramento, California.
What We Do
Students are ability-grouped and given individual work that meets their needs. Parent volunteers oversee the children while our experienced teacher creates coursework and plans the lessons. We observe Swedish holidays (Lucia, Valborg, etc.), share cultural traditions, and meet for out-of-class activities designed to reinforce the relationships developed in the school and solidify their Swedish.
